Best dang ribs I’ve ever had. Beautiful ride on 2 wheels.
Came to stay at Sharon Johnston campground and was wanting some good brisket. Found New Market BBQ and glad we did. Just a short drive from the campground. Tried the tater salad and baked beans for sides and they were delicious too. Our new go to BBQ place while we are camping up here. Owners were extremely friendly and a pleasure to talk with.
It's a time machine. Great BBQ. I had brisket and it was firm and tender with good flavor. The atmosphere is like you're on someone's porch. Seating is limited and along the front wall of windows. There is also outdoor seating under a pavilion by the river.
I've heard of this place several times and finally decided to give them a try. I ordered the 1lb turkey, whole chicken and roasted corn. Everything tasted so good, but my family especially liked the turkey. The turkey was cooked perfectly and was so juicy and tasty. I will be going back this weekend for more turkey and something different.
Absolutely amazing food here. I got the pulled pork sandwich... So good! Great vinegar BBQ style that is quite unique and distinct that you won't find other places. And the homemade slaw they put on it is also incredible. Also, I've been to a lot of BBQ places in Alabama, and they have the BEST Mac & cheese... so creamy and flavorful! And as far as desert, their banana pudding is like none other! This place is well worth a trip to this wonderful scenic area of Alabama, and perfect for dinner after spending the day kayaking on the Flint River!
I've driven by many times, and for once, decided to stop in. Actually it was my wife that decided for us and I'm glad she did. The pork sandwich with slaw was delicious. The beans had some spice and zip to them. And the Mac n cheese was excellent, as was the loaded potato. There's both vinegar slaw as well as mayo based, and both are good They are open on Fri, Sat and Sunday,. So make sure you stop in during hours. We definitely want to go back and try more of the menu.
